OK all‐ Jacquie, Susan and I just did this weekend set up by Jack and his tour group. IT WAS FANTASTIC! Well organized, the sites were incredible: 7th century cave carvings of Buddha… going so high overhead! hidden villages completely living a tradition Kayin manner, hot springs and then cold swimming areas with water coming from the caves, on a boat in a lake transiting by a cave! and so much more. Biking to sites and villages‐ VERY flexible, changing the itinerary based on your needs and interests. He sets up tour all over the country. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful and relaxing trip. Nay was very helpful and go beyond his call of duty, despite his imperfect

English which I sometimes had trouble understanding. I would certainly recommend your company in the future.

Thanks Jack for a wonderful, well organised, informative trip to Hpa-An. The food was excellent, the activities are great. * Your knowledge of Kayin State was very through. * Hope to see you again for more adventure in Myanmar.

Thanks so much for a fantastic day yesterday! We all enjoyed it so much. Htet was an absolute super star – she made the experience even better for us. Right from the start she was friendly & very informative & she was also brilliant with the children.

We will definitely recommend you to our friends.

We got back to Yangon safe and sound last night (even if we made it to the airport just in time), with our heads and hearts full of wonderful new impressions and memories. Our guides were exquisite, the trek and the train real highlights. Thank you so much for the well-organized, very memorable trip!

The real Myanmar with Green Seasons

I have taken three tours with Jack, to Hpa An, Inle Lake and many points surrounding it, and from Mandalay to Bagan. I will never again book with another agency.

Jack is wonderful. He will make sure that you get to see the best of whatever area you wish to visit. He is very flexible. Review his itinerary, and if you wish he will make whatever changes you wish. Also, once you are out and about, he will is more than willing to change the itinerary based on your needs.

What I love most is that Jack lets you see the true Myanmar, not just the tourist sites. I have seen village life and pagodas and temples where virtually not westerners ever go. The people of Myanmar are so friendly and diverse. I love meeting them. Thanks to Jack, I have had a chance to truly get to know this wonderful country.

Myanmar made easy!

Jack organised us a few nights in a great Yangon hotel, dinner while there and then internal flights to Ngapali for a 2 week beach break. He was fast at replying to messages and spent a long time getting us the perfect room at the resort in Ngapali.

Friendly, experienced, informed guy and I wish him all the best with his business. If we come back to Myanmar, we’ll definitely involve Jack in our planning.

Great Trips with Green Season Travel!

I have used Green Season Travel for 3 trips – Hpa An, Mon State and Inle Lake. All 3 trips have been well organized and tailored specifically to my interests. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to experience the wonders of Myanmar.

Really fantastic Hpa-An!!!

We two couples visited Hpa – An in last July 2017. Even if we are Myanmar, we don’t know much about Karen state. I have been there several times before. But I didn’t know where to go. Here comes! Under arrangement of Jack, we really got a fantastic trip around Hpa – An city. Especially canoeing on creeks among the fields.
Great job Jack.

Excellent Tours

My wife and I used Green Season and we have recommended them to others. Jack, the owner, has great experience in helping foreigners navigate and understand Myanmar. We would not have been able to see what we did without him, and if you want to see this country, then I recommend contacting him for help planning your trip.

Incredible trips with Green Season Travel

I have been on a number of trips with Green season Travel: from H’Ph An to the Golden Rock to Madalay to Bagan to Inlay and many out of the way sites! I am a teacher here in Yangon at an international school. Jack set up an incredible day trip for my 5th graders to Tanway, Pottery Village (1 1/2 from Yangon, across the river). Students got to see pottery making, and try it themselves. observe live on the river, see and try weaving at the home and visiting a monastery school, donating books and having a class with the students there. Knowledgeable guides, safety first and incredible times. (p.s. bike riding for me was fantastic).

“Jack Burma is a unique travel guide and tour operator. His immense and intense love for Myanmar is demonstrated in every muscle of his body and his permanent smile. His travel company – Green Season Travel- reveals his deep desire to preserve the environment for the generations to come. You ask and Jack will tailor make a tour to suit your desire. When he can make time from his busy schedule he will personally accompany you ensuring every detail of your tour is perfectly met. Jack did not just accompany my party on a tour of Golden Rock but he led us in a meditation session which brought out the true beauty and essence of this holy pilgrimage site allowing us to have a deeper appreciation of the culture of Myanmar. Outside of Yangon Jack chose the best guides to accompany my party in our sojourn through Myanmar. Jack is simply the best.”

Htet was amazing! I felt so lucky to have her as a tour guide and by the end of the day we felt like friends. She is so knowledgeable about Myanmar and took us to the most wonderful places that I would never feel confident enough to explore on my own. We were here for Thingyan festival which was such a lovely surprise, and it was great to be with Htet as we really got involved! The day was great, from breakfast, to the markets, to the train, the ferry, the Rangoon Tea House, and the tuk tuk around Dala – it was so much fun! I was sad for the day to end and to say goodbye to Htet. She taught us so much about her culture and was so funny and friendly. I was also very happy to have a woman tour guide as the tourism industry seems to be dominated by men, and Htet really gave us a day better than we ever could hope for! I would thoroughly recommend her and Green Season Travel!

Just returned from a 12 day trip to Myanmar. Our host/guide(s) Jack et al were great. We were met at all of our destinations by a guide and driver. Accommodation was very comfortable, several with lots of character/history. Highlights were:

1) Boat Trip from Mandalay to Bagan on a small river boat that had 7 cabins. We really enjoyed ourselves. It was very relaxing and we got to see lots of activity along the river with a few stops for land tours here and there.
2) Bagan. We spent two days in Bagan. The first day was with a guide who showed us some of the more notable pagodas and also took us on a tour of a local farm village which we enjoyed. The second day we were on electric scooters and had lots of fun exploring around the place.
3) We flew from Mandalay to Heho and then got driven to Kalaw which is a small town in the foothills (elevation around 5000 feet). We stayed in a hotel that was at one time an English school. From here we rode bicycles for three days through the hills and ended up at Inle Lake. We had good quality Bianchi hybrids and the local driving population were very respectful to bike riders.
4) Inle Lake is very cool and where we encountered the most tourists. We enjoyed visiting the Inle Horse Club (where you can ride horses if you like) as well as the Red Mountain Estate Winery. These two venues are very close together and the winery is very well done. We also went around the lake in a long boat for a day which was a lot of fun.
There are a few cautionary notes for travelers to Myanmar. We took US $ which are readily accepted everywhere. However, at the airport money exchanges, if the bills were not in mint condition, they would not accept them. This includes any writing on the bill or the slightest tear. Secondly, our credit card company cancelled our card when we initially tried to pay for our trip. A lengthy discussion ensued between me and the credit card company but they indicated that there was a computer algorithm which was responsible for the cancellation and it could not be over ridden. Fortunately KimKim offered us an alternative payment through a wire transfer.
