Day 1
ENCHANTING MANDALAY – FULL DAY

Morning pick up and start our sightseeing from Mahamuni Buddha, the 2nd most sacred Buddhist’s site in Myanmar. The whole image, except, the face is covered with thick layers of gold foils; a token of the devotees’ intense faith to Buddha. Continue to visit Golden Palace Monastery, a delicately carved wooden building where we will learn the excellent wood arts. King Mindon, father of the last Myanmar King Thibaw died at this place. Next is to go Kuthodaw Pagoda located very close to Mandalay Hill. The pagoda consists of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures and recorded in UNESCO world heritage lists. Later we’ll drive up to 230 meters high Mandalay Hill where we can see a scenic view of the city, Mandalay palace complex, the moat, the Shan Mountain range and the Ayarwaddy River. Lunch is served at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit to the gold-leaf workshop and one of the tapestry workshops; Aung Nan in Mandalay. We’ll then continue to Amarapura; a royal capital founded before Mandalay and Mahagandayon monastery which is one of the most prominent monasteries where nearly a thousand monks live and study. We can have a look at weaving cottages before going for U Bein Bridge which is originally built in 1851. Take a leisurely walk over the bridge and enjoy the panoramic view of Taungthaman Lake and the stunning sunset view. Refreshment at the lakeside before heading back to the hotel.

Day 2
3 Days - 2 Nights Daily Departure Mandalay – Mingun – Ava @ Innwa – Mandalay

MANDALAY (MINGUN) (Dinner)
Check in and embark at Mandalay jetty at 16:00, enjoy welcome drinks and settle in your cabin. The boat slowly sails upstream towards Mingun for approximately 1h30. While cruising along the fascinating scenes of Ayarwaddy enjoy an aperitif on the upper deck and watch the sunset on the river.

Day 3
MINGUN - (MANDALAY) - AVA (Breakfast, Lunch, BBQ Dinner)

Breakfast will be served on the sun deck from 07:00. At 08:00, visit the village of Mingun before the flow of visitors arrives from Mandalay. Visit Pondawphaya, Settawya, Pahtodawgyi pagodas and the legendary Mingun Bell (which weighs around 90 tons) one of the largest intact ringing bells in the world. The bell was destined to King Bodawpaya’s Pahtodawgyi brick pagodawhich could have been the highest in the world if the project had not been halted because of the King’s deep superstitions. Around 11:00, back onboard and sail towards Ava. Lunch will be served during navigation. Around 15:00, visit the Island of Ava by horse carriage, including stops at famous Bagaya Kyaung & Me Nu Oak Kyaung Monasteries. After the day’s visits, navigate upstream to Sagaing for an exclusive BBQ Dinner on a Sand Beach facing the hilltops dotted with white and gold pagodas.
Overnight onboard.

Day 4
MANDALAY (Disembark) (Breakfast)

Breakfast on board, cruise back to Mandalay and disembark at 10:00. Depending on customers’ program, time and jetty can be adjustable. (Disembarking earlier in Sagaing is recommended if customers need to catch an early flight).

End of the cruise service.
